Miss Lora and Gladys O'Keefe spent Saturday with frinds in Emporium. Messrs. Wellis Gaskill, Harry Leggett and Paul Livingston and Misses l'erna Gaskill, Nellie O'Keefe and Mrs. Hopple, of Emporium, called on Mrs. Leouard Smith and family Sunday. Ralph Goodall spent a few days last week on the Hill. Bay Jordan made a flying trip to Lushbaugh Saturday. Miss Nellie Marsh returned home Thursday, after two weeks visit with friends at Wiiliamsport, Grays Bun, Bo novo and Shintown. Beuben Jordan went to Emporium Saturday. The people ot Mason Hill re-opened their prayer meeting and elected Mr. Ed. Bussell leader for the ensuing year. May their good work continue. They were brought from the woods on wagons as there was no snow. W. R. Smith, of River Terrace has just received two ball bearing pulley wheels for his trolley line which will soon be completed. The smoker at the club room passed ofl' in the usual smooth manner Friday night. The music was all that could bo desired only one drawback occurred to mar the festivities of the evening. In the third round of the boxing bout Mr. Geo. Collins claimed that A. W. Smith was striking below the belt. President Farrel in seperating the men slipped on a bannana skin and fell violently to the floor striking on the left side ot his head rendering* him unconscious. He was taken to his home in a cab and did not come to his senses uutil the mill whistle blew Monday morning. It was reported that he was dead but such is not the case. Mr. John Jordan was called into referee the bout in place of Mr. Farrel and declared the contest a draw. Both men were badly usedup. David Ives will give a pink tea at the Hungaloo Friday evening, All members of the bachelors club are cordially invited.
