Mr.Fred Huntington is superintending the fall work on his father's farm near Cameron. Mr. and Mrs. E. S. Randolph, of East Empori um were pleasant visitors of Mr. Page this week. Mrs. Fred Comley is very ill with fever. Mr. aud Mrs. Fred Schwab returned from Ue uovaMonday night,where they had been visiting- Susie the little daughter of Daniel Sullivan, who has been very ill with fever will soon be able to be out again. Mrs. Listen of Emporium was a caller in town this week. Mrs. Albert Lord received a telegram from Sinnamahoning Friday annouueing the death of her sister, Mrs. Haiien Jensing. Mrs. Lord and friends left 011 afternoo 11 train for that place. Joe Robinson anil family attended the funeral of his brother's little girl Gladys, who died at Kane Hospital Saturday morning. This is the fourth one of the family to die within the last month. This family has been terribly atllicted and the survivors have the sympathy of every one. CI. IJ. Page has returned from a two weeks trip to points west of the Mississippi lliver and re port.-, a line time and looks well. He brought back a Gila monster from Yellowstone Park and nil Irish Canary from the great American desert, both alive. The people met him at the station at Omaha. A post office at Canoe Run is about to be placed in service at that point. Mails will be ex changed from all trains. Fred Webster has been appointed postmaster. Another ;wreck on the C. B. &C. R. K., Fri day afternoon. Engineer Robert Niles came down from the brick works with his engine and stopped in front of the postollice and while he was in the office his engine mysteriously started toward the brick works, but only ran about a quarter of a mile when it reversed and came back at a tremendous speed. There being a "D" railer near the station a serious wreck wa* averted. Robert, when you leave your engine standing alone, a little kindly word let be advise : Pull your lever to the centre, put the steam brake tightly on, then block her on both ends with railroad ties. J. F. S. . HUNTLEY. Wm. Johnson Is slowly gaining but is very weak yet. Mrs. J. F. Sullivan aud daughter Ruth were Renovo visitors last week. John Carson is assisting 11. J. Collins in putt ing his crops in. Miss Edna Mason is suffering from a severe at tack of neuralgia. O. B. Tanner of Mason Hill visited his sister Mrs. Augustus Nelson Saturday. No more new cases of typhoid fever have been reported at this writing. Mrs. Martin Hill and daughters of Medix Run and Mrs. William Wheaton and daughters of Sinnamahoning, are visiting W. R. Smith aud wife. J. P. Sullivan purchased a fine Holstein cow from Patrick Farrel this week. The cow is very gentle but Sullivan in some way or other got 011 the south side of her when he went to milk. His wife picked him up in the run and his first words when he came to his senses were, to order the wreck train from Renovo aud call the track men. Mr. Parrel kindly consented to take the cow back and hereafter Sullivan will stick strictly to the Eagle brand of condensed milk. B. J. Collins is busy harvesting his pumpkins and corn. He has drawn 100 wagon loads of pumpkins off" his ten acre field and there are about 25 loads left.
