Mothers arid
Daughters
Every woman who has a grown daußhtor knows
well the worry and anxiety which always comes at
that period of life when girlhood merges into
womanhood. Upon a girl's coudition at this time
depends her future health, strength and happi
ness. Too much care can not be taken to see that
she passes through this period safely.
AUNT DINAH S OLD VIRGINIA
Herb Tea
A BOON TO WOMANKIND
is of the greatest assistance to nature in bringing
about the change which takes place, without dis
arranging the natural functions of the system. It
is a strengthening tonic. It will keep the roses in
a girl's cheeks and prevent that tendency to de
cline which so often endangers her life at this
critical point in development.
This Herb Tea is likewise of corresponding
value and assistance to matrons and mothers at
the end of this period. Its use will at this time
prevent endless pain and worry. A woman will
enter the evening of life with scarcely the knowl
edge* that the change has occurred. Many are the
thankful women who know the value of Aunt
Dinah's Old Virginia llerb Tea and are grateful
for the benefits derived from its use.

CAMERON COUNTY PRESS, THURSDAY, AUGUST 18, 1904
DEATH'S DOINtiS.
HORNING, SR.
At the homo of hia son, Amos Hom
iny, Jr., near Howarda Siding the
venerable Mr. Horning passed away at
tlie advanced ago of 83. The imme~
diat.e e:iUße of hia death was fromin jur
ies received by falling in the yard at
his son's home.
He was born near Norristown, Pa.,
and enjoyed the advantages of a good
education. lie became an active busi
ness man in Philadelphia in early man
hood, giving employment to many
men, sometime intbo 60's he moved to
Kersey, Elk Co., engaging in the coal
business, in the year 1872 ho moved to
Penfleld engaging in the hardware
busines, where he lived until he moved
to Emporium. He was converted over
fifty years ago in St. Georges Church
Philadelphia, and was a staunch sup
porter of old Methodism; his exemplary
christian life was an inspiration to all
with whom be associated.
The funeral services were held at the
residence of his aon July 27th 1904,
services were conducted by Rev. It. A
Robertson Assisted by Rev. Sypber of
tho Cameron circuit. There was a
large attendance of relatives and
friends at the services, about seventy
going to the cemetery with the
bereaved family. He leaves a widow
and one son and many friends to
mourn bis loss.
A dreadful suspicion begins to haunt
the New England mind that the stud
ents and graduates of the agricultural
colleges in the six states of that section
of the earth, never intend to become
flat-footed farmers. To dig the dirt
with one's own bands is thought in
old England to he degrading, accord
ing to Mr. Balfour, and he ought to
know. The same idea appears to be
gaining ground in New England.
Agricultural students learn nothing
practical about farming in an agricul
tural college. The only place to teach
that is on the farm, where the condi
tions of soil, insect pests, drunken
farm hands, weeds and hysterical
weather, confront the farmer for practi
cal solution. The college graduate
expects to become a biologist, a mos
quito expert, a boll weevil extermin
ator, a traveler to China to hunt for
parasites, an ornithologist, a geolo
gist, a student of the migration of
birds, 01* some similar "scientist" with
the title of ''Professor" before his
name.
Suicide Prevented.
The startling announcement that a pre
ventative of suicide bad been discovered
will interest many. A run down system,
or despondency invariably precede suicide
and something has been found that will
prevent that condition which makes sui
cide likely. At the first thought of self
destruction take Electric Bitters. Tt
being a great tonic and nervine will
strengthen the nerves and build up tho
system. It's also a great Stomach, Liver
aud Kidney regulator. Only 50c.

When you want a physic that is mild
and gentle, easy to take and certain to
act, always use Chamberlain's Stomach
and Liver Tablets. For said by Jno. E.
Smith, Sterling Run.
What Dewey Said.
"Gridly, you may fire when ready."
These words destroyed the Spanish fleet
and amazed tho world. Thompson's
Barosma Kidney and Liver Cure will
destroy diseases just as quickly and ef
fectively. It not only gives quick relief
but makes a permanent cure. The pro
prietors of Thompson's Barosma guar
antee all that is claimed for it. Thomp
son's Barosma is also warranted purely
vegetable and harmless. It is pleasant to
take and suitable for all ages. §l, or G

The Death Penalty.
A little thing sometimes results in
death. Thus a mere scratch, insignifi
cant cuts or puny boils have paid the
death penalty. It is wise to have Buek
len's Arnica salve ever handy. It's the
best Salve on earth an will prevent fatal
ity, when Burns, Sores, Ulcers and Piles
threaten. Only 25c, at L. Taggart's
Drug Store.

A Perfect Painless Pill.
Is the one that willl clease the system,
set the liver to action, remove the bile,
clear the complexion, cure headache and
j leave a good taste in the mouth. The
famouus little pills for doing such work
pleasantly and effectually are DeWitt's
Little Early Risers, Bob Moore, of La
fayette, lud., says, All other pills I
have used gripe and sicken, while De-
Witt's Little Early Risers are simply
perfect." Sold by R. C. Dodson.
Lips that love bad news make poor
ones for good news.
Puts an End to it All.
A grievous wail oftimcs comes as a
result of unbearable pain from ovei
taxed organs, Dizziness, Backache, Liver
complaint and Constipation. But thanks
to Dr. King's New Life Pills they put an
end to it all. They are gentle but
thorough. Try them, only 25c. Guar
anteed at L. Taggart's Drug Store.
A white liar may be as hard to wipe
out as a black one.
Healthy Mothers.
Mothers should always keep in good
bodily health. They owe it to their
children. Yet it is no unusual sight to
see a mother, with babe in arms, cough
ing violently and exhibiting all the symp
toms of a consumptive tendency. And
why should this dangerous condition ex
ist, dangerous alike to mother and child,
when Dr. Boschee's German Syrup would
put a stop to it at once? No mother
should be without this old and tried rem
edy in the house—for its timely use will
promptly cure any lung, throat or bron
chial trouble in herself or her children.
The worst cough or cold can be speedily
cured by German Syrup; so can hoarse
ness and congestion of the bronchial
tubes. It makes expectoration easy, and
gives instant relief and refreshing rest to
the cough racked consumptive. New
trial bottles, 25; large size, 75c. At all
druggists. 40-ly.
If love is intoxicating marriage must

Taken With Cramps.
Wm. Kirmse, a member of the bridge
gang working near Littleport was taken
suddenly ill Thursday night with cramps
and a kind of cholera. Ilis case was so
severe that he had to have the members
ol the crew wait upon him and Mr. Gif
ford was called and consulted. He told
them he had a medicine in the form of
Chamberlain's Colic, Cholera and Diarr
hoea Remedy that he thought would help
him out and accordingly several doses
weie administered with the result that
the fellow was able to be around next
day. The incident speaks quite highly
of Mr. Gilford's medicines.—Elkador,
lown, Argus.
This remedy never fails. Keep it in
your home, it may save life. For sale
by L. Taggart.
