General Reyes, the Columbian
minister, is naturally impatient and
anxious for an early reply to his

the Secretary of State is quite as
anxious that the matter shall bo
disposed of as quickly as is consist
ent with dignity and caution. The
Colombian note contains a list of
grievances which that nation
claims to have suffered from the
action of the United States.
