James Brennan, aged about 50 years, brother of Michael Brennan of this place, died at Cleveland, 0., Aug. 6th, after an illness of some months. His funeral took place last Friday at Sharon, where he has been located for thirteen years as pastor of the Catholic church. Rev. Brennan is well known in this county, having for several years j been located at Driftwood and Dußois, I where he has many friends, all of | whom will be pained to learn of his death. Republican County Committee. The Republican County Committee met at Court House last Tuesday after noon, every district in the county be ing represented. It was decided to call the Primary election to elect dele gates to the County Convention on Saturday, Sept. 14th. The Convention to nominate Associate Judge and County Treasurer will bo held Tuesday, September 17th.
