Maccabees' Reunion.
The second annual reunion of the
Mountain District Association of Mac
cabees, held at Eldred Aug. 25, was, in
every sence of the word, a success.
The officers of the association and the
citizens of Eldred had worked unceas
ingly and they may be justly proud of
their efforts.
Although the morning found heavy
storm clouds hovering over the village,
the valiant Maccabees and their friends
were not made despondent, and by
10:00 a. m., Eldred, in her attire, was
in the hands of the visitors from Cam
eron, Potter and McKean counties.
And by noon it was estimated that
there were at least 2000 visitors in the
village. At 10:30 a. m. a business
meeting was held at the G. A. R. hall.
A. J. Searle, of Lookout Tent of Forest
House, re-elected president, and A. G.
Woodward, of Roulette Tent of Rou
lette, was re-elected secretary. Miss
Mattie Beebe, of Summit Hive, of
Forest House, was elected Treasurer.
Charles Butler, of Goodwill Tent, of
Emporium, was made chairman of the
executive committee. Emporium was
named as the place for holding the
reunion in 1899.—Austin Democrat.

little value in comparison with this
marvelous cure; would have it even if
it cost a hundred dollars a bottle.
