In loving remembranco of Vernon Calchvell,
died May Btli, 1898, aged one year, two months,
and five days.
Little Vernie was our
Darling, pride of all
Our hearts at hoire;
Hut an angel came
And whispered Vernie,
Darling, do come home.
We loved him; yes, we loved him,
But an angel loved him more;
And they have sweetly called him
To yonder shining shore.
The golden gates were opened,
A gentle voice said come;
And with farewells unspoken,
He calmly entered home.
