loth to call in question either the judgment or intentions
of the jury, yet wo cannot but remark that from their ver-'
dict they appear to havo entirely losteight of the grand
q uestion involved in the trial, namely, the guilt or inno
cence of Dr. Hall of mel-practice.
lielieving,Dr. Hall to bo innocent of the charge of mal
practice we submit to your consideration tho following
resolutions, and that if tho same are passed they be pub
lished in the papers.

J. L. hall, of the borough of North East, mut prosecu
ted, found guilty, and fined for the unfortunate result in
the caso alluded to, which was brought about by circum
stance over which he could have no control and for which
