a majority of 72, In Sangamtnon county, Logan (whig)
has a majority Of 1260. Baker (whig) is elected to con
gress, vice Turner which is a whig again.
MorgangUtutty gives erdemocartic majority of 40.
Scott 60. - Logan (whig) 4 has a tnajority in,Hazewell
county of MO and is probably elected.
In fit. Clair county the whig Legislative ticket has 450
majority.

(dem.) State Attorney, as far as heard from, 191—three
precincts to come in. Miller, (whit!) representative for
-St. Joseph coOnty, 'lndiana, elected by 7.5 majority. Usti

merchandize which crosses it, but renders the passage of
carriages out of the question. Nom is the time to plank
it, and there is not a moment to to lost. If our Borough
Officers aro reminded of it, the enterprise and improve
ment of our streets assures us that such an all-important,
yet comparatively trifling; expenditure, will not bo omit
ted any longer. The mercantile taxes of our cifizem, aro
