The will of Mrs. Gulick, who was murdered by her son, at Kline's station, a few weeks ago, was recently probated. It was drawn by Attorney George B. Rei mensnyder, of Sunbury, in Octo ber, 1897. It provides that all the real estate, which lucludss two farms and some Sunbury property, shall go to the elder Gulick during his lifetime and at his death shall be divided equally between the chil dren (John included), excepting one daughter, Mrs. John Bowers, of Danville, who is cut oft with one dollar. Thomas of Kyers Grove, Colum bia Co., Pa., after graduating at the Schissler College of Business in the Shorthand Department, intend ed to finish the bookkeeping course nut the demand made upon the Employment Department of this college was so great that in order to accommodate the many patrons of the school Mr. Thomas was in duced to accept a position as sten ographer and assistant bookkeeper with the W. C. Urner Co., Large Hosiery Mills, of Spring City, Chester Co., Pa., before he finished the Bookkeeping course. J. T. Rothrock, Forest Com missioner of Pennsylvania, has pre pared a bill for the present Pennsyl vania Stale Legislature to appro priate $2,000 to the hydrographic division of the United States Geo logical Survey for two years, be ginning June i, 1901, for the purpose of gathering data and determining the volume and com mercial value of the waters carried by the Delaware, Susquehanna and other important streams in the State. Under the provision of the bill the ceolosrical survey is to do the work and pay half the expenses of the investigation. If this bill becomes a law and the work is prosecuted, the result will undoubt edly be of great value to many interests in Pennsylvania, not only to those to whom the utilization of water power is necessary, but also to the cities and municipalities which draw their water supply from the streams of the State.
