In some of the Swins valleys the inhabi
tants are all afllicted with goitre or "thick
neck." Instead of icgardin this as n de
formity they seem to think it a natural feat
ure of physical development, nnd tourists
passing through the valleys nrc sometimes
jeered by the goitrous inhabitants, because
they are without this offensive swelling.
Thus a form of disease may become o com
mon that it is regarded as a natural and
neucssary condition of life. It is so, to a
large extent, with what arc called diseases of
women. Lvcry woman suffcis more or less
from irregularity, ulce-aiion, debilitating
drains, or female weakness, nnd this suffer
ing is so common nnd so untveisal that many
women accept it as a condition natural ami
necessary to their sex Hut it is a. condition
a unnatural ns It is unnecessary. The use
of Dr. Tierce's Favorite Prescription
strengthens the delicate womanly functions,
so that woman Is practically delivered from
the pain nnd misery which eat up ten yenis
of her life between the nges of fifteen and
forty-five. "Favorite Prescription" makes
weak women strong and sick women well.
