Foreign Inheritance.
To Americans who read and hear
of great fortunes awaiting their claims
in England, or elsewhere, we would
say look a little out before you bind
yourselves to pay the claim agent his
fee. Of late years a great many
Americans nave Deen tooled into pay
ing out good money for an advertised
inheritance abroad which is very un
certain, though advertised as a dead
certainty, of course. Like other scamps
these sharks are some times caught:
but their plans of procedure look so
plausible as to catch others more fre
quently than they are caught. Those
having immense wealth abroad want
to be sure they are right before they
go ahead.

The last unpleasantness we have to
report from Chicago indicates that

armed foe expires and until her last
arm and leg is gone. The latest reads
as follows : " Joseph Parker, a one
legged negro, is at the County Hospi
tal with a bullet in the region of his
heart. Mis assailant, Charles Carter
a negro minus both legs, is locked up
charged with attempt to commit
murder.
Charles Brooks, also colored and
