bills passed were the bill prohibiting
the employment ol aliens and the bill
establishing a medical council and
three State Boards of Medical Ex
aminers. The work of rescuing the three
miners en'ombed in the Laurel Hill
mine, near Hazleton, is progressing
slowly, as the workings are choked up
with debris and water. It is said that
two mine laborers are missing and
may also be in the wrecked mine.
A convention was held in Harris
burg of temperance people interested
in the passage of the Aenew loral
option bill on Wednesday.
