Continuous Track of Steel to Boston-
THE READING'S rOUO'-KXEPSIE HRIDOE
ROUTE.
No longer do travelers between
this section of the country and New
England have to undergo the discom
forts of street transfer through the tily
of New York. This has all been ob
viated, and the Reading Railroad with
its continuous line of steel rail now
carries its passengers in trains, vesti
bulcd from end to end, from Philadel
phia to Boston without a single change
of cars. This new route, which is via
the great Poughkeepsie Brieve, has
many attractions, and is rapidly be
coming very popular. The accom
modations are first-class in every res
pect ; the trains are vestibuled from
end to end and are scheduled on fast
express time ; the roadway is jierfect,
making the ride pleasant and comfort
able ; the country traversed abounds
in grand and picturesque scenery and
the coaches are very models of the
car builders art. There are both day
and night trains run in each direction,
the day trains being vestibuled and
having Pullman Buffet Parlor cars at
tached.and the night trains have Pull
man Buffet Sleeping Cars. The east
bound trains are the New England
Day Express, which leaves Philadel
phia 9th and Green Sts. on weekdays
only at 10.00 A. M., and the New
England Night Express which leaves
9th and Green Sts. at 6.45 P. if. and
34 and Chestnut Sts. at 6.20 P. M.
daily, Sundays included. The west
bound trams are the Quaker City Day
Express which leaves Boston, (N. Y.
& N. E. R. R. - Summer St. depot),
on weekdays only, at 9.30 A. M., and
the Quaker City Night Express, which
leaves Boston, (B. at M. R. R. Cause
way St. depot) at 5.45 P. M. dayly,
Sundays included.

"What," she rapturously demanded
gazing at the baby, " could be sweet'.
The bald-headed man smiled in
sickly way. Several sweeter thinn

mind, but he mentioned none.
"Nothing.
The young woman was replying to
herself, radiant with maternal love-
"Nossing. no nossing wuz sweeter"
She had buried her face in the rai

she was iterating her positive dt

"Say pans, tootsey."
The baby emitted a nondescript

"Did you ever hear anything so

She literally fell upon the ill-favored

nearly smothered it with kisses.
"Oh, yes, he can say"
She turned to the bald-headed
