by Rev. D. S, Bently, Presiding Elder.
H. Johnson, Pastor.
Oh, this ringing in the ears !
Oh, this humming in the head 1
Hawking, blowing, snuffing, gasping,
Watering eyes and throat a rasping,
Health impaired and comfort tied,
Till I would that I were dead !
What folly to suffer so with catarrhal
troubles, when the worst cases of
chronic catanh in the head are re
lieved and cured by the mild, cleans
ing and healing properties of Dr. Sage's
Catarrh Remedy. It purifies the foul
breath, by removing the cause of
effence, heals the sore and inflamed
passages, and perfects a lasting cure.

SUDDEN DEATH.
Mrs. W. J. Bidleman died suddenly
at her home Saturday evening of heart
failure. She was about 57 years of
age. She was a sister of Michael,
William and Owen Eyerly. The de
ceased was an active member of the
Lutheran church for over 40 years.
She assisted in giving a turkey dinner
at the old Presbyterian church Friday
and Saturday evenings. Upon her re
turn home late Saturday evening she
complained of shortness of breath.
Her husband v ent after a physician,
but before his return she I reathed her
last. She leaves behind to mourn her
loss, a husband and five daughters, four
of whom are married. Funeral servi
ces were held Wednesday afternoon,
c onducted by her late pastor Rev. P.
A. Heilman. The church was filled
with friends who were anxious to show
their last tribute of respect to one who
was faithful, and loved to work in the
church to which she had so long. been
a member.

WKAl TIT Is some'h'ng which
V EiU'l Inmost people seek, and
which but few are indifferent to, no
matter in what form it presents itself.
The word "pecuniary." is often used
in speaking of a man's riches, comes
from the Latin word pecut, which
means cattle, and shows that formerly
a man's wealth was reckoned by the
cattle he possessed. Abraham is said
to have been "very rich in cattle, in
silver, and in gold." B it no matter
in what a man's riches may consist, it
is all vanity and vexation of spirit,
unless in connection therewith he has
health. Emerson fully understood this
when he said "the first wealth is health,"
and we have no doubt if he had known
the virtues of S. S. S. that he would
have recommended its use to all per
sons suffering from the diseases for
which it is recommended.
