Martin D. Waller Talks.
New LoNDdN, Conu., July 21. Martin
B. Waller, treasurer of the Long Island
Brick company, who has been the victim
of sensational charges, says that ho left
Greeuport, U I., where the company's
works are situated, on June 23 for Brook
lyn. Sickness caused him to prolong his
stay, and although he sent a telegram to
the president he forgot to send his address.
There was never auy suspicion on the part
of Mr. Sage thut he had embezzled the
company's money.

Where no aid was available they have
been giving parlor entertainments consist
ing chiefly of recitations.
There havo been many reports that Mr.
Potter was contemplating a suit for
divorco on account of Kyrle De.llew, but
Mr. Potter has always denied that he in
tended to apply for a divorce.
Mrs. James Drown Potter's friends take
no stock in the report that Mrs. Potter
was recently married iu llimg Kong to

station, on the Baltimore aud Ohio rnil
road, about ten miles from Pittsburg.
David Bell committed suicide, the houso
he lived in burned down from a lamp ex
plosion and two children, Hubert and
Charles McGratton, were cremated, and
later, as two men were searching among
the ruius, a chimney fell, killing Harry
Itowe aud mortally injuring Puter Knee.
