A Lilliputian .Bailroad-
NINE MILES OF TEN-INCH OADOK JN MAB
SAClIuVETTd CB0S8INU ELEVtN 8TBKAM3.
A wonderful railroad is tho one
which connects tho towns of Bedford
and Bellevue, Mass. It is njno mijes
in length, and is probably as unique as
any on the globe. The'dis'tance is not
so astonishing, except when the gauge
of ten inches is considered.
In the short distance jraveraed by
the pigmy it crosses eleven stream,
with bridges from fivo to thirty-five
feet in height. The rails weigh but
twenty pounds to the yard, about the
size of those used in tho mines of Miss
ouri and Illinois. The ears and engin
es fixe constructed so as to be veiy
near the ground, insuring greater safe
ty. The cars are provided ,with single
seats op each side of the aisle.
The car itself weighs but four tons,
the weight of an ordinary car being
twenty to twenty-six tons. The engine
without the .tender, weighs seven tons
and runs with two passenger or freight
cars at the rate of twenty miles an
hour. There is a smaller Tail road
than this in tho United.Slatee tbo one
in Bucks county, Pa., but it is only
keptas an expensive toy by a rich
farmer, who fias made a fortune out of
oil. From the Albany Argut. '
Don't Feel Veil,
And yet you arc not sick enpugh to
consult a doctor, or you refrain from
so doing for fear you will alirm your
self and friends we will tell you juit
what you need. It is Hood's Sarsspar

certain, uncomfortable, dangerous con
dition, into a slate of good health, cot .
fidence and cheerfulness! You've no
idea how potent this peculiar medicino
is in cafes like yours.
