Wo have been asked tho question recently as to who is eligible to a nom ination for oflico, by tho Democratic party of this comity. This question can most easily bo answered by quoting Rulo III of Chap ter 3 of tho rules of Nomination. It is as follows : "No person shall bo eligible to a nomination by a conven tion who has opposed tho Democratio ticket at tho noxt proco ding eleotion."
