Lupin's armure at 65 ; the
figure a diamond or star.
The ground is like merino,
the figure sateen. Half is
ground and half is star. Ten
day colors.
Lupin's herring-bone cord
at 65. The cord is not large
but distinct; the herring
bone too fine to be clear.
The general effect is not
unlike that of the Inca; but
the wool is harder-twisted,
less soft, but also less dusty.
Ten day colors.
Lupin's Camballo, the best
jf them all; 1.2 5 for 85
:ents. The weave is otto
man; but the wool is so
soft that notwithstanding the
Ottoman weave, Camballo is
50ft. Seventeen day colors.
Geralda, not Lupin's, at
65 ; a poplin of hard-twisted,
long-fibre, not over-soft
wool; closely woven, as
heavy as any except Cam
ballo; not so dainty, not so
pretty, about as pretty as
Camballo; same weave and
about the same size of cord
as an Irish silk-and-wool
poplin. Twelve day colors
and black.
There is nothing good that
'.an be said of a maker of
ircss-stuffs that tsn t etm
ncntly and conspicuously true
9 the Lupin house. There
is nothing good of any of
Luhms stuffs that tsnt
true of these. The last Ge
ralda is not Lupin's,
John Wanamakeh.
