The facts ns proven were that John Lenehan and Pat Murphy, two young men of Centralla were together on the night of September 17tli 1881. They walked home, passing several persons on the way. When they reached some shanties Murphy had some conversation with some one through an open do'rwav, and immed iately afterward Lenehan who was walking ahead was shot in the back, the ball com ing out of the breast. Murphy helped him homo and called lu a doctor. AH the cir cumstances seemed to point to an accident al shooting, and the jury therefore ncipiiited the defendant. Through the kindness of W. H. H.
