About six years ago Hallet Ivil

of tho House of Representatives as a
contumacious witness. Ho subse

A few days ago tho jury rendered a

Kilbourne was only imprisoned a few

Senator Cameron's post-oflico fight
in Wilkes Harro has gained for him
but two Lackawanna delegates to tho
Stato Convention, but it is positively
certain that ho haslost tho Luzrno dele
gates by his duplicity and bad faith.
In Wilkes Barre, ex.postmaster Smith
ran as an anti-Cameron oandiato and
swept the city, his oppoueut having a
beggarly score. In the other districts
Cameron was equally unfortunate, tho
conventions having passed resolutions
adverse to his interests. It Logins to
look as if in Luzcrno county at least
there U a genuine revolt against tho
machine leader. Tho bitterness en
gendered by tho fight, for tho post
office grows stronger and as Cameron
is too Btnbboin to yield oven in the
smallest particular, tho policy of con
ciliation will not bo attempted. Per
haps the Governor will grow to bo as
big as the Senator after all.
Senator Mitchell is very mad indeed

from tho register's decision a year

controversy now comes boforo tho Su

irom the decision of the register of wills
of Union county. It is claimed that
tho paper proved is not the last will
and testament of William Cameron
that if ever executed it was done by
fraud and undue influence. A grand
array of counsel appears in the case.
For Mrs. Houso and Mrs. Harrison, tho
two contestants, there aro tho Hon. Jere

Georgo A. Guyer. Since tho caso has
