It Is a just complaint with a Isrge foundation. For years and years Mr lieckly and his newspaper partner, Mr. Brown, have attended tho parly conventions and helped io put tho party through in good shape, and all they have ever got for their trouble is the Bloomsburg Post OfBce.whlch is only an lnsignl. (leant affair, worth but sixteen hundred dollarsa No man can be expected to keep his patriotism up to the high water mark on such slight en couragement as this. To be sure, Mr. Brown gets a great many nominations for various hings; he sometimes runs for Congress, some times for County Surveyor, sometimes for some thing else.but he never gets elected to anything .nil the whole consolation of Ihe parly in this minority county is that the Postmaster's partner is permitted lo serve his country as chairman of the county committee, since the Postmaster had in give up the place at the Invitation of the Pres. i.lenl. It Is surely abo-it time the party in min ority counties was heard from, and it is gratify ing to have the complaint come from those who re nclually in need of some little office 7 limes. a The skating rink in Evans' Hall has been a source of much pleasure nnd amuseuient for sev ers! days past. All hands being green at tbe huiiness, there were many exhibitions of agility in sitting down and gelling up again. One gentleman losing confidence in his feet, tried to kateon his hands, and Ihe result was a sprain--il wrist. Another one nearly cracked hia ribs, while many others displayed much aSectiou f, r the iron posts in the centre of the hall, which ihey constantly embraced.
