It is thu result of practic.s.1, ovcry-day
experience that steady attention tn mutters
of detail lies at the root of human progress,
and that diligence, above, all, is the mother
of good luck. Accuracy also i.s of as much
importance, mid as imnriuble a mark of good
training in a man ; accuracy in observation,
accuracy in "pcecb, accuracy in the transac
tion nf affairs. What is done in bit-inets
must be done well, for it is better to accom
plish perfect'y small amount of work than
to half do ten times as much. Yet, in but
iness affairs, it i the manner in which even
small matters are transacted that often de
cides men for or against you With virtue,
cap icity, and good conduct in other respects,
tho person who is habitually inaccurate can
not bo trusted ; bis work lias to be gone over
again, and bo thus causes annoyance, tcxii
tion, and trouble.
