A new. or fourth, series of stock will lie issued

Hubscriplions to stock will be received in the

The three seriw heretofore issued by this Asso

Figures will not lie, it is said, but, like some
'ery good people, get into the wrong box soine
?mes. Thus, in referring to the Supreme court
-decision in the school tax case, last week, we are
made to say that its ifl'ect was to sustain the
Directors in levying a maximum lax uf "lo''

We me gratified to announce to our readers
that the llmlriexl (Uterlainment given by
the "(nlitinial Dramatic As.ociation," of
lllooin-burg, on Friday and Saturday evenings
la-t, was a grand success. The large number
present on both evmings indicated the great
interest of the people in behalf ol home inter
t.iinment. The Drama, "Ten Nighls In a 11 ir
Hoom," seemed lo meet the approbation of all
-present. And it must be taken into considera
tion that as this was ihc Association's first ap
pearance before the public, ami having b it
-tuo weeks' rehearsal, they certainly merit a
great deal of credit for the uriniier in which all
performed their respective parts upon the stage.
Mr. ti. E. Myers, the business agent, also de
iscrvcs a great deal of credit for his gratuitous
mork in (iideavoring to mako it a auceiss. We
'hope to see Ihc Association before the public
rigain at no distant day, with a new drama, and
wish them all the success imaginable. The
ipiocceds amounted lo about $180.
