not steeping It; by clearing it; by
grinding it flno; by grinding it coarso,
and by many other methods opposed to
each other and to all these. Now wo
do not Intend to try to tell anybody
how to mako good coffee, but wo Just
wish to say a word about tho treatment
of tho coffee after it Is made. And on
this treatment depends Its excellence,
brew it as you may. Tho rule is 6lm
plo: never decant U. Whatever else
you do about it, bring it to tho table in
tho vessel in which it was made. A
handsome urn or gorgeous coffee-pot is
tho grave of good coffeo. Of courso, if
