Tho trustoo of this colony was Induced
to sell about SO acres of tho laud to
Jones for a low price, and thoy say with
out authority, and Jones conveyed It to
Grant for tho sum of one dollar, tho
deed being put on record at Chicago, by
which tho transaction appears. About
this tlmo Grant appointed Jones Minis
ter to Belgium, where ho now is to tho
dlsgraco of tho country. Tho President
has not denied the "soft Impeachment."
