finances. They both profess to chcrisli
tho interests r ad tho honor of tho State,
and to guard tho welfare of tho people.
A good man of either party would carry
out tho vital principles. A bad man of
either party would sacrlilco tiioso prin
ciples to secure his own advantage Wo
thereforo want a man who has been
tried and found faithful. Wo do not
want ono who is suspoctcd. Now, wo
cannot help it that tho man above ro
proach happens to bo tho Democratic
candldato ; nor can wo help It that tho
Republican candldato la not freo from
suspicion. Wo aro, therefore, impelled
by a senso of duty, to support tho Demo
cratic Candldato not becauso ho Is a
Democrat, but becauso wo want a man
who has tho nerve, tho ability and tho
konniy to carry out tho principles of
pubic economy, irrespective of party
trammels.

whom tho workingmen can trust, thoy
will rally to a man to his support. Wo
beliovo the Intentions and desires of tho
distinctive workingmen who met at
Williamsport, like thoso who met at
Columbus, wero patriotic and noblo,

aro superior to Robert Bonner's and
cost noarly $50,000. And tho fund for
building them was abstracted from tho
now stato department, witliout tho
shadow of authority In violation of
law. But then Dr. a rant thinks moro
