Half an aero will mako a fair sized
fruit garden. Let us say that It Is eight
rods ono way and ten tho other: that It
Is the longest north and south, and Is
Inclosed with n tight board fenco or

Now lot us boo what wo can plant m
It. First, wo havo n border on tho

you will havo room left for two rows of

This variety and quantity of fiult

tvt Corn
It Is a surprising fact that sweet corn
Is not abundantly grown among far
mers. Every farmer thinks ho must
raise his flvo or ten acres of Indian corn
every ycarifn order to fatten his pork,
and to furnish fodder for his stock, etc.
Now, Ifevery farmer would grow threo
or flvo acres of sweet corn every year,
his crop would prove of much moro
value In proportion to tho numbors of
oorcs of Indian corn for feeding purpo
ses. Last spring I planted six acres of
iweot corn tor tho purposo of taking it
Into markot, green. But after tho mar
ket bocamo 'glutted,' I concluded to
savo tho balance of my corn nnd euro It
to feed. I cut and fed my hogs corn
(In tho stalks) every day, and they
would cat stalks and uli as clean as they
would groen clover. I would recommend
It to thoso that sow com In preference
to any others,
Be careful to truce up your seed In
the fall, nnd then you will not fall to
havo good seed when you come to plant
