No fear of Explosion.—No offensive odor.—No smoke.-- Very easily trimmed.—As easily regulated as a Gas Light.—Can be adapted to all purposes.—Ann Dr. Ely, of Schtlisburg, who pronounced it CAN CER, and proscribed a wash of sugar of lead and bread poultices. Finding these remedies of no avail, I caded upon Dr. Shaffer, of Davidsrille, Somerset counti, who also pronounced the disease Cancer, and gave me internal and external remedies —the latter consisting principally of caustic ; but all to no purpose, as the disease continued spread ing toward the nose. I next used a preparation of arsenic, in the form of salve. This for a time checked the disease, but the inflsnration soon in creased. I next called upon I)r. Statler of St. Cluirsville, Bedford county, who also pronounced the disease Cancer, and applied a salve said to bo a never failing remedy, but it had no effect whatever in checking the spread of the sore. In December, of the same year, th ; disease had eaten a greatei i>art of my upper lip, and had attacked toe nose, when I went to Cincinnati, where I consulted Prof. R.S. Newton,of theElectic Medical College. He pronounced the disease "a cutaneous Cancer, superinduced by an inordinate use of mercury.— He applied mild zinc ointment, and gave intern-1 icmcdies. My face healed up. hut the inflamatiou was not thoroughly removed. In Febuarv, 185", he pronounced me cured, and I leit for home. In April the disease again returned and so violent was the pain that I could not rest .t night. Late in .May i returned to C ncihiiati, and r.gain placed myself under the charge of Dr. New lot,, with whom I remained nutil September, dnri.tg which time he us"1 every known remedy, and partly s .ccecdcd in checking the disease, hut when I returned horn.: there were still three discharging ulcers upon my face. I continued using Newton's preparations, at t also medicine that I cot from Dr. Ely, but the Cancer continued growing until it bad eat off ike lift fide of my >u> sr. the greater portion of my left and hud aitcri.el m.j left eye. I had given up a'.i hope of cvet 1 > tug cured ; since Dr. Ely said he could only give relfot ; but that a euro was 'tnpoi sil.le. In March, 1858,1 bought a bottle of 'Blood Scearchcr,' but 1 must confess ti.at I had u. dth in it. I was very weak when I commenced taking it; but 1 found that I gained strength day by day, and also that the ulcers commenced drying up. 1 continued, and when the tliir.t bottle was taken my face was healed as if by u miracle. I used a forth bottle, and i have lieen healthier since than 1 have Iteeti for the 1 st seven years.
