ANN ARBOR, November 5, 1866
PROF. O. J. WOOD— Dear Sir; I have heard much
said of the wonderful" effect a of your Hair Restora
tive, but having been so often che ite 1 by quackery
and quack nostrums, hair dyes, <fc. I w.rs dispos
ed to j dice your Restorative in the same category
with the thousand and one loudly trumpeted quacß
remedies, until I met you in Lawrence county some
months since, when you g.we me suoh as-suraiico
as induced the trial of your Restorative in my
family—first by my good wife, whoso hail had be
come very thin and entirely while, and before ex
hausting one cf your large bottles, her ha:V was re
stored nearly to ; ts original beautiful brown color,
and had thickened and become beautiful and glossy
upon, and entitely over the head ; she continues to
use it, not simply because of its beautifying effects
upon the hair, hut because of its healthful influ
ence upon the head and mind. Others of my family
and friends are using your Restoiative, with the
happiest ell'ects; therefore, my skepticism and
doubts iu reference to its character aud value are
entirely removed ; and I can and do most cordially
and confidentially recoaiend its use by all who would
have their hair restored from white or gray (by
reason of sickness or age,) to original color and
beauty, aud by all young persons who would have
their liair beautiful and glossy.
