—Humors having keen circulated that Thurtow
Weed was seriously 111. announcement has been
made that although he had suffered recently from
chronic difficulties, his general health has re
mained as good as usual. ,
• The Agricultural and Editorial excursion
party to Virginia, Indian Territory, Colorado and

—Mrs. Walworth and her youngest son have
taken up tbeir.residence in Sing Sing village, and
on Sunday attended Catholic service in the prison
chapel, by special request Ho visitors will be
allowed to see Prank, who commenced work on
Monday in the private office of the clerk ofthc
shoe department.
—At Cambridge, Ohio, on Monday, a nine year
old son of Wm. Dade, colored, accidentally shot
and killed bis twoyear-old brother.
_A boy thirteen years old,, named Faust, was
accidentally killed Sunday night, at Indianapolis
by falling from a building in process of construc
tion.
—United States Commissioner William C. Storrs
committed suicide at Rochester, New York, Mon
day.
—The steamer Wisconsin, from Liverpool, ar
rived atNow Yojfc Monday.
—General Amea Piltebury, for many years Su
perintendent of the Albany Penitentiary, died
Monday, aged sixty-eight- ,
—The dally edition of the Cincinnati Daily
Time* and Chronicle oo Monday appeared as the
