the late revolution has subsided, and the Govern
ment of General Nivla remains in power. Several
leaders of the revolutionary party have been ar
rested and will be banished.
—James A. Coe was arraigned in Boston on Sat
urday on nine indictments, to each of which he
pleaded “Not guilty,” seven for forgery and two
fofeheating. The .Indictments embrace twenty
four of thirty forgeries, amounting to $927,000.
Coe is required to give a recognizance in $400,-
000.
—The total debt ol New Yoik city and county is
$131,760,027 less $23,871,014 sinking fund, leaving
a net indebtedness of $107,889,013. The increase
of the debt during the year has been $12,121,858-
—Ten arrests a day have been made in New
York for the last two weeks, under the "Habitual
Criminal Act.” At this rate Ne w Yor I ', will soon
get rid of her rogues and oth jr cities be tbc worse
off for emegration.
—The ru»h of pleasure seekers towards Europe
seems to be slacking off. Six steamers left New
York on Saturday for European ports, but the lists
of cabin passengers were not as large as in previous
weeks.

affinity, after ten minutes of single wretchedness.
—Frank Blair has been at Richfield, New York,
