and: pretty, but with no hearts.—
They only marry for money. They
are thus taught by their mothers
and, failing to catch fortunes many
of them become blare old maids. -
Below I give the diary of two days
in the life of a New York young lady.
At nineteen she is honest, loveable
and innocent. Seven years later she
becomes a pose Brown's Girl.
