Insure with the Minot, Hartford.—The
LEtna - Insuratice Coinpany 'has been transacting the
business of Insurance extensively for nearly half a
century and lus during that i time passed 'through al
most every phase of experience, and acquired an
.amount of practical information not surpased by any
similar corporation. 'rho mass of statistical record
accumulated in the, transaction of so large a business
and for so long a time, furnishes a reliable basis for
calculating fair rates for titnre oPerations.
`tit is apparent. economy, but real imprudence, to
seek for cheap or low rates, irrespective of character or
standing. The only legitimate result of insuring
property at inadequate rates, is bankruptcy to the un
derwriter, and, perhaps, to the insured also. When a'
Compnny offers to insure at too low a rate, disap
pointMent and failure are just as certain as personal

power to produce money by magic ; there is no mys
