commissioned officer or agent, who is or shall

scutite or Judiciary ; department of this State

That the Judge .and Inspectors choicn as
aforesaid, shallmeet at their respectiveplaecs
appointed for bolding the election in thi dia
tricts to which they respectively beloni, be
fore Q 1 o’clock on the.morning of the Second
Tuesday of October in each and cvery'year,
and each of Said Inspectors shall appoiit one
clerk, who shall boa. qualified voter ol said
district.
i In case the persons who shall have rtfieiv
ed the second highestnumbep of votes for In
spector shall hot attend oh-tne day of an elec
tion, then the person who shall have rectired
the second highest number of votes for Judge
at the next preceding election Shall act l
