Interesting Items of Bellefonte Y.
The Y. M. C. A. junior group con-
tests for boys from 10 to 13 years has
been organized with some forty mem-
bers. These have been divided into
four groups named for universities,
as Penn, captained by Alan Katz;
State, by Mallory Knisely; Harvard,
by Norris Larimer, and Yale, by Don-
ald Conrad. These teams will have
contests twice a week for eight weeks,
at the close of each physical educa-
tional class period, in such sports as
relay races, basket ball, baseball, vol-
ley ball, high and low jumping. The
standing of the teams to date is as
follows: Penn, 15 points; Yale, 10;
State, 10; Harvard, 5.

Mentzer. The squad includes Clem-
son, Thompson, Herman, Kline, Ly-
ons, McClure and Noll, all old players
and most of whom were captains on
college and school teams. Efforts are
now being made to arrange a schedule
which will include games with teams
in the leading towns in the central
part of the State. Junior and student
teams have also begun practice and
basket ball promises to be the lead-
ing winter sport.
The bowling committee is busy lin-
ing up the different teams for the
bowling league. The alleys have been
entirely overhauled by experts at an
expense of over $400, and are now in
good shape. The schedule of league
games will be made up next week and
the season will open on or about No-
vember 15th.

ment of the Bell Telephone Company to
