FRPP SFU ACC URACY = EEN fo = Every month nearly 700 telephone bills are rendered from the Accounting Depart- ment of the Bell Telephone Company to Bellefonte subscribers. Within the memory Of persons still living the word “accounting” brought up a picture of a man on a high stool writing with a quill pen and using sand instead of blotting paper. But the telephone belongs to a newer era, and tele- phone accounting is as modern and as accurate as is humanly possible. The men and women who do the accounting work are careful and take every precaution to avoid mis- takes. : For they know that errors sometimes cause misunder- standings. When mistakes do occur—and they are bound to occur once in a while—every effort is made to ad- just them. ray To adjust them courteously. For in the accounting, as in every branch of the tele- phone organization, the Bell people work with the idea constantly before them that courtesy pays. 4 yn RNA : THE BELL TELEPHONE COMPANY OF PENN SYLVAN IA.
