Helpful Legislation
Almost every community has
suffered through the fake Stock
Sale swindle. Hundreds of thous-
ands of dollars yearly are taken
out of the pockets of the people of
Pennsylvania by the sale of
worthless and fake stock invest-
ments. Pennsylvania, the great-
est State in the Union, gives but
little protection to her citizens
from these swindlers, who regard
neither the “widow’s mite” nor
the orphan’s bread and butter.
If elected to the Siate Senate in
the District comprising Centre
and Clearfield counties, I propose
to fight for Legislation for the
protection of the people, and drive
out of our State the worthless
stock swindlers and rid the com-
munity of these fake stock sales-
men, It should have been done
long ago. The interests of the
people have been neglected by the
political bosses who have been in
power.

THE VOICE WITH
THE SMILE
When one of Bellefonte’s 11 Bell telephone
operators answers your call, she says
“Number, please?”
She says it with the pleasant rising inflection
which expresses better than words her desire
to serve you.
These 11 Bellefonte young women were chosen for
their ability and intelligence.
their very nature.
So they say “Number, please?”
That little word “please” takes a lot of time when
the thousands of calls every day are considered.
But it’s worth all the time it takes.
For these young women know that courtesy pays.
