mother, who is quite ill.
George Kaup, who has been ill for
several weeks, is improving.
Miss Nelle Holter, of Howard, is
spending some time in this vicinity.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Reitz, of Char-
ter Oak, spent Saturday night in town.
Mr. and Mrs. D. M. Kline, of Axe
Mann, spent Wednesday evening in
town.
Samuel Glenn, of the Branch, was a
visitor at the home of Leonidas Moth-
ersbaugh, last week.
The W. C. T. U. will meet at the
home of Mrs. Jacob Meyer, Tuesday
evening, February 8th, at 7:30.
Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Lonebarger and
daughter Lois, accompanied by
Messrs Waite and Lonebarger, of
Mrs. B. F. Homan, of State Col-
lege, spent several days at the home
of her daughter, Mrs. Charles Moth-
ersbaugh.
Rev. S. C. Stover entertained Rev.
Glessner, of Greenville, Ohio, from
Thursday until Monday. Rev. Gless-
ner assisted Rev. Stover during the
munion service on Sunday.
The joint council of the Lutheran
charge have accepted the resignation
of Rev. E. F. Brown, as pastor of the
Boalsburg charge, the same to be ef-
fective March 1st.
Pleasant Gap, started Sunday morn-
ing at four o’clock on a motor trip to
Oakton, Va., called there by the ser- |
ious illness of the former’s father, Mr.
George Lonebarger.
