The splendid weather of the past
two weeks has enabled many of the
farmers in the valley to get all their
corn in the ground.
While ploughing last week Mervin
Hoy was hit by the plow, sustaining
a fractured bone and torn ligaments
in his left shoulder.
Many of our citizens attended the
High school commencement at How-
ard last Friday and report the exer-
cises very interesting.
Miss Rosalie Yearick is taking a
preliminary short course in the Belie-
fonte public schools in the hope of
passing the examination for entrance
to the High school there next year.
We all wish her success.
