for Co-operation.”
Thursday, January 8th, in the Luth-
eran church. Subject, “The Church
Awakened by a Revival of Family Re-
ligion.”
Friday, January 9th, in the Reform-
ed church. Subject, “The Church
Awakened by a Call for Workers.”
These services will begin promptly
at 7:30 each evening. The local min-
isters will lead, but no minister will
conduct the service in the church of
his own denomination.

Pine Grove Mills, were surprised yes-
terday by an influx of members of
their family and friends who besieg-
ed their home with good wishes and
good things to eat so that they all had
a very merry New Year’s day.

Rev. John Winkleblech, of Lewis-
burg, was a guest of Miss Emma Mec-
Coy recently.
Mrs. Agnes Hayes, an aunt of Miss
Delinda Potter, of this place, died at
her home in Watsontown last week.
Mrs. James B. Strohm has closed
her home for the winter and left last
week for New Jersey, to be with her’
daughters. .
Samuel Durst bought the Mrs. Su-
san Geary property near the Reform-
ed church, and expects to quit farm-
ing in the spring.
Miss Delinda Potter on Monday
went to Osceola Mills, where she has
accepted the position of assistant
principal of schools.
Mr. and Mrs. Guy Jacobs and baby,
of Steubenville, Ohio, spent the
Christmas season with Mr. Jacob's
mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Jacobs.
James Keller, a Senior at Franklin
and Marshall College, spent his vaca-
tion at the home of his parents, Mr.
and Mrs. David Keller, in this place.
Mr. and Mrs. William Magee and
and two children, Huyett and William,
of Wenonah, N. J., were guests of the
children’s grandparents, Mr. and Mrs.
E. M. Hueyett, during the past week.
Mr. and Mrs. I. A. Sweetwood enter-
tained quite a number of young peo-
ple during the Holidays, the party
consisting of Miss Carrie Sweetwood
and friend, Mrs. Beulander, both
nurses, of Philadelphia; Miss Ida
Sweetwood, a teacher in the Holli-
daysburg schools; James Sweetwood
and friend, Mijuel Sora, of Blooms-
burg Normal, and Miss Elizabeth
Sweetwood and friend, Mr. Minnich,
of near Camp Dix.
