day 8 p. m., 94 E. High street.
U. B. CHURCH NOTES.
The meetings in progress at the United
Brethren church are gathering interest
and momentum, last Sunday being the
greatest day in the present pastorate.
Backsliders are returning and seekers
coming. Rev. E. G. Sawyer, of Tyrone,
made his first appearance in the pulpit !
on Wednesday evening and will be here
the balance of the week, and probably |
over Sunday. If so pastor Sprague will |
occupy the pulpit in Tyrone. Let every
one pray that with their churches in ac-
tion Bellefonte may be shaken as with a |
mighty wind. Sunday services—Sunday
school at 9.30 a. m.; preaching at 10.45;
Juvenile meeting 2 p. m.; Y. P.C. E. at
6.30, and preaching at 7.30. Seats free
and all are welcome.
A. B. SPRAGUE, Minister.
The men of the Presbyterian church
are to be gathered together in a social
meeting next Tuesday evening. The
ladies are furnishing an attractive in- |
ducement in the form of a meal. The
Rev. H. W. Bieber, of Tyrone, will speak
after the supper. His subject is, “The
European War in the Light of Prophecy.” |
The evening promises to be a rare pleas- |
ure and profit. The hour is 6:30. The i
men will go from their places of busi-
ness. :
Rev. W. M. B. Gianding, in the Luth- |
eran church next Sunday evening, will |
deliver the second sermon in the “Good |
Name” series under the topic, “The
Christian Element of a Good Name.” |
The subject of the morning sermon is, |
“Where are Your Boys and Girls in the
Evening?”
“The Last Days” is the special topic
which Dr. Hawes will discuss Sunday
night. It is the third lecture in the series
on “The Lord's Second Coming,”

“No shade, no shine, no fruit, no flow-

Americans would add no freedom from
catarrh, which is so aggravated during
this month that it becomes constantly
troublesome. There is abundant proof
that catarrh is a constitutional disease.
It is related toscrofula and consumption,
being one of the wasting diseases. Hood's
Sarsaparilla has shown that what is
capable of eradicating scrofula, complete-
ly cures catarrh, and taken in time pre-

any sufferer can put off taking this medi-

record of its radical and permanent

“STOP, LOOK, LISTEN!"
A Lawyer received $10,000 for suggesting these

Wise people are often warned by a similar sign on
the road of extravagance. They stop in time. -
