BUTLER, May 8.—Looking toward a
great and possibly far-reaching law suit to
test the responsibility of water purveyors
for deadly typhoid fever epidemics, action
was taken by leading citizens here Friday
night. Attorney J. D. Marshall is presi-
dent and Dr. H. J. Neely, Rev. E. R. Wor-
rell, of the Second Presbyterian church,
and Rev. G. E. Enterline, of the First
Baptist church, are leading spirits in an

thus far. Congress has appropriated $8,-
000 for the pedestal of the Frederick statue.
