Mr. John D. Dannley of the Buckey
state accompanied by his wife and two

making their headquarters at the old G.

who are glad to see them.

Farmer Amos Keoch on the G. Y. Meek
farm lost a fine horse last Sunday after-
noon. The beast was found laying in the
pasture field unable to walk from a brok-
en cannon bone and was killed to relieve
him of his sufferings. This 18 the third

Rev. Henry Webb now of Ohio with his
wife'and little adopted daughter arrived
in our town last Friday, after a five days
drive in a two horse carriage. He is quite
an able pulpit orator and is the pastor of
a wealthy congregation in the Buckeye
state. On Sunday evening he preached
in the Presbyterian church where many
of his old time associates gathered about
him glad to take him by the hand after |
his absence of thirteen years.
Banker Davy Meek of Tyrone handling
the ribbons over a spanking team of trot-
ters came down to his old home at Fair-
brook on Saturday. With him were his
new brother-in-law Armstrong and his
two sisters. While there are other
attractions here, Dave used his best en-
deavor to entertain his friends at the
home of his youth. They spent Sunday
with D. G. Meek where everybody is
made welcome and the hoursspeed quick-
ly by especially if D: G. is in a mood
to relateold time reminiscences and spin
yarns.
The Jr. 0. U. A. M. have been having
most interesting meetings, of late. They
have received by card from Good Wil
Council 42, Tyrone, some half dozen mem-
bers and 7 members by initiation. Tussey
council no. 515 has been in existence
about a year and numbers 65 members
and from present indications has come to
stay. They believe that patriotism and
love of country should be instilled into
the hearts of young Americans and that
everyone should be tatght to cherish the
institutions of our fair land. The flag
that we honor should at all times remind
us that united we will stand and divided
we'll fall.
