The imperfect information which
the Secretary of the Treasury has al
lowed the public to have, in regard to
the recent sale and conversion of the
five twenty loan, has called down upon
his head 1111 explosion of wrath from
bailing Republican papers, which must

far as to charge collusion with litvored
bankers, and to demand impeachment
