Horrible Tragedy In England—Seven
Persons Brutally Murdered.

particulars of the horrible tragedy near
this city, mentioned in these dispatch
es last night, have been received•_-
From these facts it appears the house
of an engineer, in the town of Mybridge,
Parish of Ilillington, about seventeen
miles northwest of this city, was en
tered last night by a man who had been
laboring under feelings -of revenge
against the head of the family.
After a brief altercation, the assassin
struck the mother of the engineer
which caused her instant death. The
son, who had rushed to her rescue, was
similarly dispatched, and the fiend,
eeemittgly unsatisfied in his thirst for
human blood, followed his murderous
attack upon the wile, sister, and three
children of his victim. In a !short
splice of time he had murdered the en•
tire family of seven persone.
The assassin !managed to escape and
is still at large, although the police au
thorities throughout the country are
