est interest in the !speedy Construction of the
line of road proposed by the Atlantis 1 1 / 4
Great Western company, we must neverthe
less deprecate the inenne attacks of those
who, ,in the heat of the controversy, do
great Injustice to the magnificent line of

Pennsylvenia Jtailrond has been to our

We are warmly in favor of its immediate
construction, and hope the wosinuesill- be
ptisbed rapidly. That it will pass fittotigh
this county, is a tied foot; but through
what section of the county exactly, will not
be known•until the engineers get through
with the surveys, It seems to be certain;
however p „that Bellefonte will be an import
ant point on the line. We are in favor of Its

we think the verdict is an unjust one, and a

stretch of truth to call its, Crime; and which
seems to have been perpetrated whh no
murderousinfitnt, in self defence. At the
present writing, Mr. Devine has• not yet
been sentenced. , • ,
