to the depths of the narrow tomb. May he
rest in peace!

Capsih John Boal, eon of Judge. Boal,„ of
this county, was killed on of about the 16th
of March last, in an engagement somewhere
along the Caps Fear river. We do not
know the particulars, nor the exact spot or
battle where the captain met his death, but
are informed that he was shot through the
head, and was buried on the field. By
some mistake the ewe of his death did not

when received a letter apprising him
