07 Our friend, W. J, Stein, in his new
and comfortable quarters across the strect
is looking quite comfortable and contented,
and is prepared to do all sorts of work in
his line of business. Stein isa good work-
man, and is an obliging, gentlemanly and

Tre COUNTY SUPERINTENDEDCY.— In an-
other column will be found a communication
from Mr. Theo. Weaver, upon the snhject of
the County Superiniendency. The: sugges-
tions of Mr. Weaver, we think, are good
a ones, sud the points made Ly him, worthy
of the serious consideration of the schoo]
Directors and of the people of the County.
Mr. Weaver, as will be-seen by his card,
which we publish in another place, will be a
candidate for the § Superintendency himself.
_ Should he be ¢lectzd, we have no fears that
the office will be unworthily filled, for Mr.
W. is a young man of fine abilities, and
18 energetic and ambitious enough to bring
houor to the office instead of the office
bringing honor to him,
0
First OF ARIL.—A number of our eiti-
zens have changed their places of business
as well as residences this Spring. The First
was quite a busy day in town, and * flit.
tings” were abundant. Among the busi-
ness removals we notice the following :
Hoffer Brothers to the large and handsome
store-rcom, in Reynolds’s Iron Front, next
door to D. M. Wagner's, formerly occupied
by A. Sussman. Mr, Sussman to the large
brick mansivn formerly owned and occupied
by Dr. Potter, on Iligh street. Steruberg
and Co., to the store-room just vacated by
Hoffer Brothers. W. J. Stein across the
street to the building midway between the
residences of J. J, Treziyulny jand J. D.
Turner. Geo. Livingston to the room vaca-
ted by Mr. Stein. Reynolds’s Bank has
been removed into the rooms heretofore oc-
cupied by Orvis & Alexander, as a Law of
fice, while these gentlemen have removed
into the room just left by the Bank.
We believe the above are all the removals
in the business line, ‘of which we are aware.
