does my hair still continue to be in good order and
of naturaleolor ? To all I can and do avswer iu-
variably yes. My ha is even better thanin anv
stage of my lifo tor 40 years past, more soft, thri=
ty, and b. tter colored ; the same is trge of my !
whiskers, and the ouly cause why it is not gever- |
ally true, is that the substance is washed off by |
frequent abolution of the face. when re were
used by wiping the face in close com on with
the whiskers the same result will follow ag the
hair. I have been in the receipt of a g-eat nom-
ber of letters from ail parls of New England, aek-
ing me if my hair still continues to bn good ; as
there is 50 much fraud in the manufacture and |
gale of various compounds as well as this, it has, |
no doubt been basely imitated and been u :d, not |
only without any good effect, but to absolute in |
jury. I have not used any of your Restorative of |
any account for ome months, and yet my hair is |
as good as ever, and hundreds have exam ined it
with surprise, as I am now 61 years old and not a
gray hair in my head or on my face ; and to prove
this fact, [ send you a lock of my hair taken off
the past week. T received your favor of two quart
bottles last summer, for which I am very giate- |
ful ; I gave it to my friends and thereby induced
them to try it, many were skeptical until after
trial and then purchased and used it with univer
sal uccess. I will askas a favor, that you send
me a test by which I can discover fraud in the
Restorative, sold by many, I fear, without author-
ity from you. A pure article will insure succoss,
and I believe where good effects do not follow. the |
failure is caused by the impure article, which curs-
es the inveutor of the good. f deem it my duty,
as horetofore, 10 keep you apprised of the contin. |
ued effect on my hair, ‘as I assure all who enquire
of me of my uushaken opinion of its valuable re-
sults. I remain, dear sir, yours,

Pror. 0. J. Woop : Dearsir.-—I would ce
ly be doing you a great injustice not to make |
known to the world, the wonderful, as well as tho
unexpected result I have experienced from using
ONE bottle of your Hair Restorative. After using
every kind of Reatoratives extant, but without |
fuccess, and finding my head nearly destitute of |
hair, I was finally induced to try a bottle of your
Hair Restorative. Now, candor and Justice com- !
pel me to announce to whoever may read this, that

which I pronounce richer and handsomer than tho
original wes. T will therefore take occasion to re-
commend this invaluable remedy to ALL who may

FOR PURIFYING THE BLOOD,

0A&LAND, Tud., 8th June, 1850,
J. C. Avir & Co. Gents: I feel it my duty to ge.
knowledge what your Fa has done for me.
Haring inherited a Scrofuluna infection, I have suffered
fiom it in various ways for years. times it burst
out in Ulcers on my hands and arms; sometimes it
turned luward and distrassed mie at the stomach. Two
Years ago it broke cut on my head and covered my scalp
und ears with one sore, which was painful and loathsome
beyond description. I tried many medicines and severa)
physiciens, but without much relief from any thing. Ia
fact, the disorder grow worse. At length [ was rejoiced
to read in the Gospel Messenger that. you had prepared
an alterative (Sarsaparilla), for I knew fiom your reputa-
tion that any thing you made must be goud, I sent to
Cincinnati and got it, and used it till it cured me. I took
it, as yon advise, in small doses of a teaspoonful over a
month, and used almost three bottles. New and henihy
skin soon began to form under the scab, which afters *
while féll off. * My skin is new clear, and I know by my
feelings that the diseese bas gone from my system. You
can well believe that I foel what I am saying when I tell
you, that T hold you to be one of the apostles of the age, —
and remain ever gratefully, Yours,

Dr. J. B. 8. Channing, of New York City, writea; “I
most cheerfully comply with the request of your agent in
saying I have found your Sareaparilla a most excellent
alterative in the numerous complaints for which we
employ such a remedy, but especially in Diseases
of the Scrofulous dinthasis. I have cured many inveter-
ate cases of Lencorrheea by it, and sone where the com-
plaint was caused by wdceration of the uterus, The ulcer
ation itself was soon cured, Nothing within my kuowi-
edge equals it for these female derangements.”
Edward 8, Marrow, of Newbury, Ala., writes, “ 4 dan-
gerous ovarian tumor on one of the females in my family,
which had defied all the remedies we could employ, has
at length been completely cured by your Extract of Sar-
saparilia. Our physician thought nothing mt extirpa-
tion could afford relief, but he advised the trial of your
Sarsaparilla as the last resort before cutting, and it
proved effectual. After taking your remedy cight woeks
no symptom of the disease remaine,”

Dr. J.C. Aven: Bir, I cheerfully comply with the re-
quest of your agent, and Tego to you some of the eflecta
have realized with your Sarsaparilla.
I have cured with it, in my practice, most of the comn-
plaints for which it is recommended, and have found its
effects truly wonderful in the cure of Venereal and Mer-
| curiul Discuse. One of my patients had Syphilitic ulcers
in his throat, which were consuming his palate and the
top of his mouth. Your BarsaparMla, steadily taken,
cured him in five weeks. Another was attacked by sec-
ondary symptoms in Lis nose, and the niceration had
| eaten away a considerable part of it, so that I believp the
disorder would soon reach his brain and kill him. But it
yielded to my administration of your Sarsaparilla: the
ulcers healed, and he is well again, not of course without
some disfiguration to his face. A woman who had been
treated for the same disorder by mercury was suffering
from this poison in her bones. They had become se sen-
sitive to the weather that on a damp day she suffered ex-
crucinting pain in her joints and Dr Ehe, too, was
cured eutirely by your Sarsaparilla in a few weeks. I
know from its formula, which your agent gave me, that
this Preparation from your laboratory must be a great
remedy; consequently, these truly remarkable results
with it have not surprised me.
Fraternally yours, @. V. LARIMER, }. D.

A great variety of crses have been reported to us where
cures of these formidable complaints have resulted from
the use of this remedy, but our space here will not admit
em. Some of them may be found in our American
Almanac, which the agents below named are pleased to
furnish gratis to all who call for them.
Dyspepsia, Heart Disease, Fits, Epilepe
Eo i Melancholy, Neuralgia.
Many remarkable cures of these affections have been
made by the alterative power of this medicine. It stimu-
lates the vital functions into vigorous action, and thus
overcomes disorders which would be supposed beyond its
reach. Such a remedy has long been required by the ne-
cessities of the people, and wo are confident that this will
do for them all that medicine can do.
